Welcome to the Settlement Website for the Sweetwater Union High School District Data Incident Settlement

If You Were Subject to the Sweetwater Union High School District Data Incident and Previously Received a Notice Letter Notifying You of the Data Incident, You Could be Eligible for compensation from a Class Action Settlement

The class action lawsuit concerns the February 2023 Data Incident involving Sweetwater Union High School District (“Sweetwater” or “Defendant”) in which an unauthorized third party gained access to Sweetwater’s network and may have gained access to certain files containing current and former employees and students’ sensitive personal information including names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license numbers, U.S. passport numbers, financial account information, online account usernames and passwords, health insurance plan member ID numbers, and health insurance dates of coverage. Sweetwater denies any wrongdoing and denies that it has any liability but has agreed to settle the lawsuit on a class-wide basis.

To be eligible to make a claim, you must have received a notice letter of the Sweetwater Data Incident that occurred in February 2023.
